Broulee Real Estate

Location

Just 15 minutes drive south of Batemans bay, nestled between Mogo and Moruya is the tranquil beachside township of Broulee. This lovely seaside town is both desirable and affordable. Now is the time to have a closer inspection of this lovely area of the south coast region of New South Wales.

Broulee beach is well protected by rocky headlands and has a lovely graduating sandy bottom, making it a favourite swimming spot with families. There are also several smaller secluded coves with sandy beaches that lend themselves to exploration.

Broulee embraces the sea. The fishing is excellent along with first class diving and snorkeling opportunities.

History

Broulee began life as a whaling port and for other sea faring vessels. It was first settled in 1837. In 1841 there was a violent storm and the schooner ‘Rover’ was floundering off the coast. The local Aboriginals formed a human chain and saved the victims from drowning.

The Environment

There is a nature reserve at the south end of the beach, called Broulee Island. It offers exploration as well as amazing views along the coast.

Dive off Black Rock where divers can enjoy underwater rock formations such as the ‘Arch’ and ‘Bubble Cave’. There are rock formations and beautiful rock pools to be discovered as well.

The lighthouse on nearby Burrewarra Point offers magnificent coastal views.

Education

The two private schools in the Batemans Bay region, Carroll Catholic College and St Peters Anglican College are located in Broulee making it an excellent place to live for families. Both schools offer education from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Take an eco tour and enjoy the bounty nature has to offer.

Broulee is a sanctuary where one can ‘get away from it all’ though it is still in close proximity to bustling Batemans Bay and all the modern amenities offered on the south coast of New South Wales.

Broulee is one of the hidden jewels of the Eurobodalla coast. Opportunities abound here to secure property in a semi rural seaside setting or in more established houses. Broulee real estate is one of the last chances to stake a place in close proximity to Batemans Bay, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet the Eurobodalla Coast offers.
